Are you ready to take on Wales’ largest mass participation event and be part of a team that helps make a real difference to survivors of abuse and violence across Wales?
Whether you’re brand new to running, or have hundreds of marathons under your belt, the Cardiff Half Marathon is a great race to take part in. The predominantly flat race will pass some of the city’s most beautiful scenery and iconic landmarks including Cardiff Castle, Cardiff Bay and Roath Park.
Each of our runners will receive:

A free running vest and shoelaces when you raise £100.

Fundraising tips and resources to help you reach your goal.

Regular communications to keep you inspired and motivated throughout.

Dedicated support from the fundraising team, every step of the way.
There are two ways you can join Team Welsh Women’s Aid.
Charity places
To join the team with one of our charity places, you’ll need to…
- Pay a £20 deposit to secure your place.
- Commit to a minimum fundraising target of £275.
- Reach £100 by the 31st August 2026.

If you have been successful in the ballot and would like to run in aid of Welsh Women’s Aid, please complete the below sign-up form to join our team.
You’ll be helping us to prevent violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence across Wales; deliver the 24 hour, 365 days a years national Live Fear Free Helpline to support those affected in our communities; campaign for effective policies and services; and provide expert training and advice.
