2020 marks five years since groundbreaking legislation was passed in Wales to make preventing violence against women everyone’s business.
As we enter a new decade, it is time for effective and sustained collaboration between survivors and specialist services, policy makers, public and third sector providers and community action.
This national conference will focus on working together to achieve a radical shift in our approach to prevent violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence in Wales.
Informed by evidence of what works from international and UK contributors, the National Conference will bring together experts by experience, including survivors, professionals, academics and activists to acknowledge the progress made and agree actions for change in Wales, in 2020 and beyond.
We are thrilled to welcome keynote speakers- Dame Vera Baird QC, Victims Commissioner for England and Wales and Purna Sen, UN Women, Executive Coordinator & Spokesperson on Addressing Sexual Harassment & other Forms of Discrimination and Deputy Minister with responsibilities for VAWDASV, Jane Hutt.
More speakers are to be announced and more details of the day will follow soon, keep an eye on our social media:
