Ways to join our movement

Become a supporter or fundraiser

We are wowed by the collective impact of our supporters. Some make one-off donations, others are regular givers, some take part in challenge events, others set up Facebook giving pages.

Small businesses like Wear and Resist support us by choosing to donate profits from the sales of a range of wonderful products.

Together, in 2021/22, they raised an incredible £62,946 to help fund our work. We thank them greatly.

Every year, we reserve charity spaces in the Cardiff Half and use various methods to make sure our runners feel truly supported and appreciated before, during, and after the event.

In 2021/22, our extra-dedicated runners in the twice-postponed Cardiff Half Marathon smashed their fundraising target of £10,000.

If you’d like to be part of our team, sign up to our waitlist and we’ll notify you when registration opens again.

In these tough economic times, we know that not everyone can give.

In 2022/23, we’re holding a matched-giving campaign to ensure that every donation can have twice the impact.

Campaigns raise more than funds, they raise awareness of VAWDASV in Wales and beyond. You can always support us by retweeting and reposting.

Be an Organisational Supporter

If your organisation, branch, or department endorses our work, you can become an Organisational Supporter.

Our fees are banded to enable smaller organisations to take part.

In return for your pledge to stand with survivors, we give you the appropriate resources, support, and guidance to achieve your pledge.

If you are 18 years or older, live in Wales, and would like to help your community talk about VAWDASV and know where to signpost survivors for support, then Ask Me training might be right for you.

Thanks to funding from South Wales PCC, Swansea Council, and the Waterloo Foundation, we now offer training in North and South Wales.

If your experiences have led you to feel passionately about issues that affect VAWDASV survivors and their children, we would love to have your voice in our Survivor Network.

If the Network is not right for you, we also have other opportunities to take part in focus groups, sign petitions, and more.

Work or volunteer with us

If you share our values and want to work or volunteer with us, we encourage you to apply for one of our open vacancies or join us as a volunteer.

Our main offices are in Cardiff and Caernarvon, but many of our roles are flexible and allow for hybrid working.

We particularly welcome applications from people whose experiences or background are underrepresented in the sector.

Promote the Live Fear Free Helpline

We want every single survivor in Wales to know that the Live Fear Free Helpline exists when they need it.

You can help us by talking about the LFFH to your friends and family and posting about it on social media.

You can also contact us to request promotional materials, including ones that are disguised for survivor safety.
