We work with our members, survivors, academics and other organisations to create a collection of the most up to date research, publications and resources on violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence in Wales and beyond – research on which our work and campaigning is based.
Below you will find reports, publications and research by Welsh Women’s Aid and others.
Domestic Abuse From Fear to Freedom
The below Domestic Abuse Information Booklets provide clear information, practical advice and sources of support for women experiencing abuse. Available in Welsh and English, the two booklets cover general information about domestic abuse and guidance for women planning to leave or fleeing abuse.
A South Wales Multi-Agency developed resource led by Soroptimist International Wales South and developed in partnership with Welsh Women’s Aid and some local Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Services, alongside wider safeguarding and specialist legal, justice, advice and support services, together with the Physical Empowerment CIC and Women’s Institute, and informed by survivors with lived experience.
Created through co-production with survivors, the purpose of this toolkit is to identify good practice and support Welsh Women’s Aid’s member services and others to develop a framework of survivor and service user engagement that is: empowering, trauma-formed, strength-based, needs-led and dynamic.
