Welsh Women’s Aid CEO, Eleri Butler, has been offered and accepted an exciting opportunity to lead “Family Safety Victoria” in Australia, from Spring 2020.
Eleri has successfully led Welsh Women’s Aid since 2014 through a considerable period of change and growth, including the development of Welsh Women’s Aid’s long term Strategic Plan – Still We Rise. This provides an overview of the organisation’s considerable achievements under Eleri’s leadership and sets out the work and priorities of the federation over the next five years.
As CEO of Family Safety Victoria, Eleri will be leading the delivery of the recommendations made by the Royal Commission into Family Violence and working to transform systems and services for survivors of abuse. The Government in Victoria is making significant investment into preventing violence and abuse and this presents Eleri with a fantastic opportunity to build on the success already achieved whilst taking forward the next phase of work to improve responses to violence and abuse.
