At Welsh Women’s Aid, we are part of a federation of four nations, working to tackle Violence against Women and Girls. We have specialist services across Wales as part of our membership. There are currently 20 member services across Wales who offer direct support to survivors of abuse, including rape, sexual violence and exploitation, domestic abuse, forced marriage, so-called ‘honour’-based violence, harassment and stalking, female genital mutilation (FGM), trafficking and modern day slavery. You can view the list of local services within our membership below.

These specialist services deliver life-saving and life-changing support and preventative work as part of a network of UK provision.

Support is available for women, children and young people, and men across all communities in Wales, including specialist support for survivors from Black and minoritised ethnic for survivors who are disabled, who are older, who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender, and for those practicing religions and beliefs.

Specialist services can offer information, practical help, advocacy, counselling and therapeutic support, group or individual support, and support with accessing safe housing like refuge-based support.

Many of our specialist members also have information centres where you can drop in and have a chat about your situation or about someone you know. Specialist services offer safe women-only support, and can help you with the impact of abuse and its consequences. This includes legal, housing or welfare benefits advice, support through court or safeguarding proceedings, access to health services, support in relation to mental health or substance use, and support in recovering from abuse and rebuilding your life.

If you need any further information about our services, you can contact them directly using the search below, or access the Live Fear Free helpline.
