As part of Sexual Violence & Sexual Abuse Awareness Week 2020, Welsh Women’s Aid invites you to join us, along with experts and guests for discussions on sexual violence, social perceptions and activism.
We Believe Her is an opportunity to discuss challenging perceptions of sexual violence and the persistence of rape culture.
While the #MeToo movement has increased the conversation around women and girls’ experiences of sexual violence over the last 2 years, we have also seen a significant fall in prosecutions and convictions of rape and sexual assault since 2016.
We demand a Wales where sexual violence and abuse is not tolerated or excused, where perpetrators are challenged and held accountable and where survivors are listened to, believed and supported.
At this event we will be joined by special guest speaker Lucy Snow from activist group We Can’t Consent to This along with other campaigners, service providers and survivors to talk about our collective action in challenging sexual violence and rape culture in Wales.
